THE SABBATH DAY(I.E. THE SEVENTH DAY)
In 2015-2016 the LORD opened my eyes to the meaning of Sabbath Day while I was
speaking with my friend Alex who was a Seventh Day Adventist. Alex made a point that day to
express to me the importance of going to church on Saturday. Seventh Day Adventist believe in the literal meaning of Exodus 20:8,10 “8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.10 But
the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work,
thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle,
nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:” On the Sabbath the Seventh Day Adventist believe
that to keep the day holy means to go to Church and praise GOD. After Alex expressed his
viewpoint on the Sabbath Day per his taught tradition, I told Alex via text that the Sabbath Day is not physical but is SPIRITUAL. I then proceeded to explain by the LORD opening my eyes to
the truth of the WORD the Spiritual meaning of the Sabbath Day. I quoted to Alex from Genesis 2:3 “ 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had
rested from all his work which God created and made” and Hebrews 4:3-4, 9-11 “3 For we
which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they
shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the
world. 4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest
the seventh day from all his works. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of
God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as
God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after
the same example of unbelief.” After quoting those verses to Alex, I explained that the
Sabbath Day(I.E. The Seventh Day) true Spiritual meaning was that it is the 1st
RESURRECTION and that the Sabbath day was never about a Physical Day but was indeed a
SPIRITUAL Day. As quoted above from Hebrews 4, the Apostle Paul had that understanding of that and stated “Let us labour therefore to enter THAT REST”. THAT REST that Paul was talking about which stemmed from the seventh day in Genesis is in fact the 1st RESURRECTION. That is why in Exodus 20:8,10 quoted above the LORD said to keep it holy and then in Genesis 2:3 the LORD blessed the SEVENTH DAY aka The Sabbath Day because it was and is a SPIRITUAL DAY. The Sabbath Day is again the SEVENTH DAY(I.E THE 1ST
RESURRECTION) where the Saints of GOD will enter the TRUE REST OF JESUS CHRIST.
Lastly, just as the LORD blessed the seventh day and made it holy, the same will be said of the Saints of GOD who enter THAT REST and are deemed worthy to hath part in the 1st
RESURRECTION as quoted by the Apostle John in Revelation 20:6 “6 Blessed and holy is
he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but
they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
